Blossom in winters series by Melanie Martins.
5 Star Read for me.
All of my reviews reflect my honest thoughts and personal opinions. I was not paid or compensated for writing them.
This series is split into multiple books, with the last few being shorter and quick to get through. I was hooked right away and ended up finishing one book a day until I reached the end.
I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down. The age gap wasn’t my favorite, especially since she was 17 at the beginning. I really wish she’d been older, and that part did bother me. But the story itself pulled me in. I loved the plot, and the touch of thrill throughout kept me turning the pages.
What is this book about?
If you do not want any spoilers do NOT keep reading.
This book follows a young girl who has secretly had feelings for her godfather from a very early age. If you are a fan of age gap romance then you will love this book.
Her mom is not a fan of the godfather and eventually ends up dead because of it. The godfather and the girls dad work together and have tons of money. The father finds out about the two and actually doesn't mind it all. She ends up pregnant with the god fathers baby. Her friend ends up with the sister of the godfather and its a crazy mess. This series does not end here. Melanie Martins actually ends up writing an entire series based off the godfathers family, Which I highly recommend. However if you def want to start out with the blossom in winter series, and get the whole series. Once you read the first one, you are going to immediately want the second one to keep going.
Spoiler alert below
This book follows a young girl who has secretly had feelings for her godfather from a very early age, and if you’re a fan of age gap romance, this one definitely delivers. There’s a significant age difference—she’s 17 and he’s in his 40s—which might not sit well with everyone. Personally, I wish she had been a bit older, just to make the dynamic feel more balanced.
That said, the storyline is intense and emotionally charged. Her mother is a overprotective mom who knows their past and will do anything to protect her daughter, and both her father and godfather are billionaires, which adds layers of drama and luxury to the plot. This is the first book in a six-part series by Melanie Martins, and it absolutely takes you on a rollercoaster—one minute it’s steamy and the next you’re tearing up.
Overall, it’s a bold and emotionally gripping read that kept me turning the pages. If you’re into forbidden romance and high-stakes emotions, this book is definitely worth checking out.
